Executive Board
Hi, My name is Mark. I am the executive director here at CodeXplorers. My main focus is to help students like you gain access to coding and then apply it to research in the S.T.E.M. field. I am currently a Biology Major at Brooklyn College on the way to becoming a dentist. So why coding? I believe that it is vital for most S.T.E.M. careers including healthcare as I am preparing to use it in school and beyond. In my free time, I love to play tennis, spend time with family, and travel!!
I am John, the educational director responsible for those awesome powerpoint and lesson plans that you are using to teach coding. I am currently a student at the tech-focused Blair High School in Maryland and want to become a programmer! I have strong foundations in many languages (Python, Java, C++, R), web development, and machine learning. As a co-founder of this initiative, I can't wait to share this opportunity with others!
I am Tony, your operations director and one of the founders of this organization. I am going to be responsible for making sure that your chapter is staying up to date with your syllabus, that you utilize all of the available resources we offer, and that your chapter is running smoothly. I am currently a chemistry and psychology major at Brooklyn College, with aims of entering the medical field. Having a background in Java and R, I can't wait to share these skills with others!
Hello everyone, I am Alex, the outreach director (get ready for my emails!!). I am currently a student at Stuyvesant High School and want to become a doctor (hopefully one that uses coding!). Having some foundation in coding as a S.T.E.M.-focus high school student and researcher, I am excited to be a part of this organization and help you guys have access to vital education in coding. When I am free, you can see me playing tennis, swimming, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.
